Summary of Application Experience
Fourth time applying, previous applications for 09, 10, and 2011 cycles. After three applications I was not accepted. I had a Biology and Accounting degree with an oGPA of 3.16 and a sGPA of 2.97. I decided to attend Barry University's Masters in Biomedical Science program in Miami and achieved a 4.0. I also was able to increase my DAT from a AA 20 to a 23. I added shadowing, volunteer and EC's as well to further improve my application. I applied to 21 schools, received 4 interviews, wait listed at 3 schools and finally accepted in February!

- Summary of Experience:
I was really impressed by LECOM. I came in thinking it would be one of my last choices to attend, but left the interview with LECOM at the top of my list.
Everything is new, the faculty are driven to make the program succeed, and if their plan is successful they should have one of the best clinical experiences in the nation.
PBL didn't seem as bad as its reputation suggests, and I don't think I will have a problem with it. Also, location is a large part of the choice for attending dental school and what better place to live than Florida?
